The "volume" listed on our product pages refers to the maximum capacity of the Kyusu when filled to the brim with clear water and without tea leaves.
For Japanese Kyusu teapots, the functional brewing capacity is up to 75% of the total listed volume.
Due to the unpredictable nature of clay and the firing process, each piece is unique, and slight variations in volume may occur.
We therefore make every effort to list capacities with a margin of error no greater than +/- 50ml.
